Aldi Talk Enters Postpaid Market With Samsung and Apple Phones
Aldi is launching new Flex plans and entering the postpaid market. For the first time, customers can finance Samsung and Apple smartphones alongside their contract.

Aldi is entering the postpaid market with new Flex plans. For the first time, the discounter's mobile offering includes smartphones from Samsung and Apple that customers can finance together with their plan.
A new step beyond prepaid
Aldi's mobile service has so far been associated mainly with simple, prepaid-style plans. The move into postpaid, where customers are billed monthly under a contract, marks a clear expansion of the portfolio. Financing options for current Samsung and Apple devices add a feature that discounter-brand mobile plans have rarely offered.
What it means for customers
For buyers, the new plans mean they can get a phone and a plan from a single provider without paying the full device price upfront. Spreading the cost over the contract term is common among the established carriers, and Aldi now brings that model to its own customer base.
The move also puts additional pressure on competitors in the German market. Established network operators and other low-cost brands now face a retail giant with a large store network and a well-known name offering bundled deals.
Specific prices, device lineups and contract terms were not part of the information available at the time of writing. Customers interested in the Flex plans should compare monthly fees, the total cost of financing and the minimum contract term against rival offers before signing up.
