Titan OS raises $46 million to challenge Google TV and Roku
Barcelona-based smart TV operating system maker Titan OS has secured $46 million in equity and debt funding to expand globally and sign more TV brands.

Titan OS, the Barcelona-based developer of a smart TV operating system, has raised $46 million in a round combining equity and debt financing. Funds and accounts managed by BlackRock joined the round, alongside existing investors Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners.
The new money brings the company's total funding to $110 million, following a $58 million round in 2025. Titan OS plans to use the capital to speed up its global expansion, work with more television manufacturers and develop its advertising technology.
A Linux-based platform for TV makers
Founded in 2023 by Jacinto Roca, Timothy Edwards, Miquel Barba and Tobias Pfalzgraff, Titan OS supplies TV manufacturers with a Linux-based operating system. The platform lets brands offer a smart TV experience without building their own software.
The business model keeps generating revenue after a television is sold. Titan OS earns money through its Titan Ads advertising platform and free ad-supported TV channels (FAST), and shares that revenue with the manufacturers.
Growth and partners
Over the past year, the company's user reach grew from 18 million to 30 million. Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth have joined its partner list, and Philips chose Titan OS over Google TV for its 2026 television models.
With the new funding, Titan OS is targeting markets outside Europe. It also intends to invest in AI-powered content discovery, to help viewers find what they want to watch more easily, and in ad targeting technology.
The company operates in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei, and has opened a London office to strengthen its advertising operations. It positions itself as an independent alternative in a smart TV software market where Google, Roku and Samsung are major players.
