Steam Deck Store Page Vanishes From Steam, Valve Silent

The Steam Deck store page disappeared from Steam on 3 November in the US and Europe. Valve has not explained why, and its other hardware is still on sale.

The Steam Deck's store page is no longer on Steam. The site PC Guide noticed on Tuesday 3 November that the address for Valve's handheld now redirects to the store's home page, which means the console cannot currently be bought directly from Valve.

The Wayback Machine, the Internet Archive's service that stores dated copies of web pages, saved a last version on 30 October and nothing since. PC Guide found the page missing in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, though it could not say whether every region is affected.

The only Valve device missing

Valve's other hardware is still listed on Steam: the Steam Controller, the Steam Machine living-room PC and the Steam Frame VR headset, all released in 2026. Valve had already discontinued the Steam Deck LCD in December 2025. Replacement batteries remain on sale at iFixit, at a price that rose again this summer. Nothing had suggested that the OLED model, the latest in the range, would follow.

Valve has announced no end of sales. According to leaks, the Steam Deck 2 is not expected for at least another year, and the company keeps working on the console's software, as it is preparing SteamOS for many machines beyond the Steam Deck.

A glitch or a decision

The disappearance could therefore be a simple page error, or a commercial decision Valve has not yet explained. In Asia, the console is still sold by Komodo Station, Valve's official partner for Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. In Japan, the Steam Deck OLED is also in stock there.

At the time of writing, Valve has given no explanation for the missing page. The device was already coming off a difficult year in Europe.
