iOS 27.2 Brings Apple TV Multiview to iPhone, Up to 4 Streams
Apple's iOS 27.2 adds Multiview to the Apple TV app on iPhone, letting users watch up to four live sports streams at once. It could suit the foldable iPhone Duo.

Apple has released iOS 27.2, and one of its headline additions is Multiview in the Apple TV app. The feature lets iPhone users watch up to four live sports streams at the same time on one screen.
Multiview was previously available on Apple TV hardware, iPad and Vision Pro. With this update it reaches the iPhone and works with the sports events covered by an Apple TV subscription.
How it works
Once a sports event starts playing, a new Multiview button appears below the video player in the Apple TV app. Tapping it lets users pick which streams they want to follow together.
The layout depends on the sport. For Formula 1, viewers can choose from ready-made multi-view setups built around racing teams, or create a custom arrangement that combines driver cameras, track maps and other camera angles.
The feature arrives as Apple expands its sports offering, which includes Formula 1, MLS and MLB. Multiview allows viewers to follow more than one event or broadcast at a time.
Fit for the iPhone Duo
In testing on an iPhone 18 Pro, 9to5Mac ran four different streams of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix in Austin simultaneously. The smaller screen was not an obstacle to using the feature.
Still, the larger display of the foldable iPhone Duo should offer more room for four video feeds, making it a more comfortable way to watch.
For sports fans, the practical benefit is being able to follow different angles of the same event, or several events, without constantly switching between streams.
