Huawei Pura 90 Plus Live Images Reveal Kirin 9025 Chipset
Huawei has opened pre-orders for the Pura 90 Plus in China, and display units in stores reveal the new Kirin 9025 chip, 12GB of RAM and HarmonyOS 7.

Huawei has officially confirmed the Pura 90 Plus and opened pre-orders in China ahead of its October 28 launch. The company hasn't published a spec sheet yet, but display units are already in its retail stores, and live images of them answer a key question: which chip powers the phone.
The About phone screen on one demo unit lists the new Kirin 9025 chipset, 12GB of RAM, a 2848x1276 screen resolution, HarmonyOS 7 and the model number LCI-AL00. The Pura 90 Plus is the first phone to use the Kirin 9025. A tipster claimed earlier today that it is an overclocked version of the Kirin 9020. Other photos show the curved sides and triangular camera island in the Sunset Purple color.
Performance claims
Another tipster says the Pura 90 Plus delivers a 19% overall performance improvement over the Pura 80 Pro, which runs on the Kirin 9020. The same source claims the Kirin 9025 performs on par with the Kirin 9030S used in the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max. These figures are unverified, and independent benchmarks will show how well they hold up.
What is known so far
Huawei has already confirmed 12GB of RAM with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage. The colors are Dawn Gold, Obsidian Black, Sunset Purple and Snowy White. The phone reportedly has a 6.8-inch curved 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A previous leak points to a 50MP 1-inch type RYYB main camera with a variable aperture.
That package looks very similar to the Pura 80 Pro, which also has a 6.8-inch 1276x2848 screen and a 1-inch type 50MP main camera with variable aperture. The Pura 90 Plus therefore appears to be an incremental step, with the main change being the chipset.
Huawei is expected to share the remaining details, including pricing, at the October 28 launch event.
