An eBay listing is drawing attention for an unusual item: 300 server racks carrying a combined 9,600 NVIDIA A100 GPUs, priced at $59.7 million, or roughly 9.4 billion yen.

The seller is Core 4 Solutions, an IT equipment dealer. eBay is better known as a marketplace for used cameras, game consoles and sneakers, where both individuals and companies can sell, so a data center-scale lot stands out.

What is in the lot

The A100 is NVIDIA's data center GPU, used for workloads such as training AI models. According to the seller's description, each rack contains four compute servers, and each server holds eight A100 GPUs. That makes 32 GPUs per rack, and across 300 racks, 9,600 in total.

The seller says the hardware is used equipment that previously ran in a large-scale cloud facility and is in working order. The listing does not say which company operated it or what it was used for, so whether it served AI training, crypto mining or something else remains unknown.

Why it matters

The sheer scale of the listing has revived talk of an "AI bubble," given how much compute was assembled in one place. Whether the lot reflects a wind-down, an upgrade cycle or something else is not stated.

For any prospective buyer, the price is only the first hurdle. The listing covers the hardware alone, and a buyer would first need a facility able to receive and house 300 server racks.
