Samsung One UI 9.5 Beta Firmware Appears for Galaxy S26 Ultra
Test firmware for One UI 9.5 has surfaced on Samsung's servers for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, suggesting a public beta program is close.

Samsung appears to be preparing the public beta of One UI 9.5. A leaker on X, Kailash0729, spotted test firmware labeled S948BXXU6ZZK3 on the company's servers. It is intended for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which suggests the official beta program is not far off.
Where the One UI 9.0 rollout stands
The update to One UI 9.0 began in late September on this year's flagship S26 series. It was later extended to older and cheaper devices, and the vast majority of supported models have now received it. One UI 9.5 will be the next major release.
Timing: beta first, stable much later
Last year the One UI 8.5 beta opened in early December. The Galaxy S27 series is expected to debut slightly earlier than the S26 did, so Samsung will probably want to move faster this time. The S27 line is expected around January or February 2027 and will be the first to ship with One UI 9.5 out of the box. Existing models such as the Galaxy S26 will get the update afterward.
A beta is only the first phase. Samsung usually runs tests for several months before a stable release. The One UI 8.5 beta started in December 2025, and the final version arrived in May 2026. If the One UI 9.5 beta begins in late November or early December, a stable release could land around April or May.
Not every phone will be included
Some phones that received One UI 9.0 with Android 17 are not expected to get One UI 9.5. One example is the Galaxy S23, launched in early 2023, which was the last flagship with a four-year Android update commitment. Starting with the S24 series, Samsung offers seven years of support for Galaxy S and Z models and six years for Galaxy A and M.
For S26 owners, the firmware sighting is the first concrete sign that early access to the next software generation is coming, though Samsung has not yet announced a date.
