Samsung Exynos 2700 Beats Snapdragon in Tests for Galaxy S27
Samsung's Exynos 2700 reportedly outscored Qualcomm's top Snapdragon chip in internal tests, with up to 20% better CPU and gaming results ahead of the Galaxy S27.

Samsung's next flagship chip, the Exynos 2700, has reportedly outperformed Qualcomm's top Snapdragon processor in internal testing, strengthening the case for using it in the Galaxy S27 series.
Samsung ran the tests on a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, which uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme 6th Gen. In Geekbench 6.5 multi-core, the Exynos 2700 scored roughly 13,000 points against about 11,000 for the Qualcomm chip, a lead of around 20%. On Geekbench 7.0 it stayed about 15% ahead.
The gap widens against the Xiaomi 18 Pro, which runs the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite 6th Gen. On the same two tests, the Exynos 2700 was 44% and 36% faster.
Gaming and thermals
Graphics results were also favorable. In demanding games built on cutting-edge rendering technology, the Exynos 2700 was about 20% faster than the Extreme chip. In everyday 3D gaming, its advantage shrank to roughly 5%.
Heat is the obvious question. Samsung plans to build the chip on its second-generation 2nm process, known as SF2P, and pair it with an upgraded Heat Pass Block (HPB) packaging design meant to help it run cooler and faster.
Background
Earlier rumors claimed Samsung might drop Snapdragon in the Galaxy S27 because of overheating in Qualcomm's chip, a claim Qualcomm quickly dismissed. These results suggest raw performance may be the stronger motive.
The Exynos 2600, the predecessor, is found in some Galaxy S26 models and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Exynos 2700 production is reportedly underway for the Galaxy S27 series, though Samsung has not yet decided on the Ultra model.
Benchmarks run internally on pre-release hardware do not always translate to real-world behavior. If the numbers hold up, Galaxy S27 buyers could get a notably faster phone when the lineup arrives early next year, and Samsung could finally move past the reputation Exynos has carried as the slower option.
