Polish electronics and home appliance retailer RTV Euro AGD has launched a strategic partnership with Google Cloud and put Gemini-based AI tools into the hands of its store staff. In the first phase, the chain has issued licences for advanced AI tools to employees and introduced a dedicated solution into the daily work of customer advisors.

The system, called the "Store Agent", was designed around the real needs of staff in brick-and-mortar shops. It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect directly to the company's on-premise Jira environment and internal knowledge bases, so it can work with data in real time.

Answers at the sales counter

The tool is meant to answer advisors' questions about complicated procedures on the spot. It supports returns, non-standard complaints, order status checks and product availability, and it also generates contextual recommendations to support sales right at the workstation.

According to the company, the technology has replaced time-consuming traditional training with immediate, substantive support. That shortens customer service time and eliminates procedural errors made by staff.

Talking to company data

A key element of the agent architecture is a free-form conversation with data, built on RAG. Karol Karolkiewicz, CIO of RTV Euro AGD, says it allows thousands of company documents, including PDFs, presentations and emails, to be searched quickly, with an answer produced in a fraction of a second and no need to read whole files.

Non-technical users can put questions in natural language directly to relational databases. The assistant does more than search: it can combine information, compare document versions, point out inconsistencies in regulations and suggest next operational steps based on historical analysis.

First results and next steps

Initial tests of Gemini in store conditions were described as very promising. They indicated a significantly shorter onboarding time for new employees, fewer procedural errors and a higher conversion rate for accessories and services related to the main product.

RTV Euro AGD plans to develop multi-agent environments further and gradually extend access to modern AI tools to the remaining employees of the chain.
