Polaris AI has partnered with Chinese robot maker UBTech Robotics to enter the South Korean humanoid robot market. The company announced on November 2 that it will exhibit UBTech's humanoids at RoboWorld 2026, held at KINTEX, with the aim of winning domestic customers across factories, commercial venues and homes.

UBTech executives from its headquarters will attend in person. They will support live robot demonstrations and technical briefings, and work with Polaris AI to gauge demand among Korean companies.

Home, factory and retail models

One of the featured products is the U1, an emotionally interactive humanoid developed by UBTech's consumer brand UWorld. It has a human-like appearance, biomimetic skin and facial expression technology, and is designed to use AI to recognize a user's emotions and remember earlier conversations. According to UBTech, cumulative orders for the U1 series exceeded 13,361 units at its global unveiling in June. Polaris AI will present three versions in Korea: Lite, Pro and Ultra.

On the industrial side, the Walker S2 and Cruiser Y1 will demonstrate recognizing and carrying material boxes, as well as stacking and unloading goods. For commercial spaces, the Walker C1 will show customer-service interaction and movement.

Focus on real business

Polaris AI says it wants to test commercial viability, not just show technology. During the event it will hold consultations with manufacturing, logistics and service companies and review which robot models and deployment approaches suit each site.

The move also ties into the wider physical AI push of Polaris Group, which is exploring how to combine the software and manufacturing strengths of affiliates such as Polaris Office, Polaris AI Handy and Polaris Sewon with its robotics business.

A Polaris AI representative said the show is a chance to introduce the technology and potential uses of several humanoid products to the Korean market under practical cooperation with UBTech's headquarters. The company added that it intends to widen its domestic customer reach and secure real business opportunities and mid- to long-term growth drivers.
