Peppermint Robotics raises Rs 100 crore in Pre-Series B round
Pune-based Peppermint Robotics has raised Rs 100 crore, about $10.5 million, led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners, to scale manufacturing and global operations.
Pune-based robotics startup Peppermint Robotics has raised Rs 100 crore, roughly $10.5 million, in a Pre-Series B round led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners. Asiana Fund also took part in the round.
The investment combines primary capital with secondary share transactions, meaning part of the money goes to the company while part changes hands between shareholders.
How the money will be used
According to the company, the fresh capital will go toward expanding manufacturing capacity, developing next-generation robotics solutions and strengthening its global operations.
Peppermint also plans to set up an assembly line in North America in the coming months. The move points to a push to serve international customers from closer to their location, rather than relying only on production in India.
Why it matters
Founded in 2019, Peppermint Robotics is one of the Indian robotics startups seeking to grow beyond its home market. A round of this size, backed by both a deep-tech focused Indian investor and an international venture firm, signals continued investor appetite for hardware-led automation companies at a stage when scaling production becomes the main challenge.
The North American assembly plan will be the key development to watch, as it would mark a significant step in the company's international expansion.
