Openlabs Launches Closed-Network Version of Nuvida AI Dev Tool

South Korean AI agent firm Openlabs has released an on-premise version of Nuvida, its spec-driven development platform, aimed at banks and large enterprises.

Openlabs, a South Korean AI agent solution company led by CEO Ha Chang-seok, has launched a closed-network model of Nuvida, its AI development automation service built on spec-driven development (SDD). The on-premise edition is designed for mid-sized and large companies that need to keep source code and business logic inside their own walls.

One specification, a full system

According to the company, Nuvida applies an AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC) methodology. AI agents handle the whole chain, from requirements specification through front-end and back-end development to quality assurance. A developer enters one standardized functional specification, and the system generates the design document, the database structure diagram and the final code at the same time.

Openlabs says the model targets a common problem in enterprise teams: when each developer relies on their own ad hoc prompt coding, standard architecture erodes and design documents drift away from the actual code. Generating everything from a single specification is meant to keep code quality consistent regardless of individual skill levels.

The workflow shifts to "AI leads, humans give final approval." A project manager agent coordinates separate agents for database, infrastructure, front end, back end and QA, working much like a real development team. People review and approve the output at each stage and focus on key decisions and management.

Built for regulated industries

The on-premise model completes every step, from writing the specification to deployment, inside a corporate internal network fully cut off from public networks. Openlabs says this removes the possibility of proprietary business logic or original source code leaking, which addresses the strict security rules in finance and large enterprises.

The package also includes nuvida code, a coding assistant that helps developers follow the specification. It also supports modernization, including bulk conversion of legacy C-based financial systems to Java.

"We have moved beyond asking generative AI for fragments of code to assigning structured work based on functional specifications," Ha said. He added that Openlabs aims to help Korean companies protect core security assets while establishing a specification-centered methodology that lifts software engineering productivity.
