Moscow Court Orders Ex-Google Russia Chief to Pay 160 Billion Rubles
A Moscow arbitration court has ordered the former head of Google's Russian unit to pay 160.3 billion rubles to the bankruptcy administrator of the local entity.

The Moscow Arbitration Court has ordered Carlo Salvatore Maria Dasaro Biondo, the former chief executive of Google's Russian subsidiary (OOO Google), to pay 160.3 billion rubles to Valery Talyarovsky, the interim administrator of the company's assets.
What the dispute is about
The case centers on the termination of a 2009 agreement on reselling advertising space and the signing of an identical contract in spring 2018. It also covers payments made by OOO Google that were received by Google Ireland Limited between 2018 and 2022. Talyarovsky asked the court to declare those payments invalid.
The sum consists of 101.7 billion rubles in principal and 58.6 billion rubles in interest. The court ordered Google Ireland Limited to pay the same amount in February.
Background
The Moscow Arbitration Court declared OOO Google bankrupt in October 2023, on a petition filed by the company itself. Talyarovsky was appointed interim administrator.
At the end of October 2026, the Russian entity paid 16.8 billion rubles in fines imposed in connection with the US-based Google.
The ruling adds to the pressure on Google's former Russian management and on the parent structure, as the administrator pursues claims to recover funds for the bankrupt entity's creditors. The sources do not say whether the decision has been or will be appealed, or how enforceable it is against the defendant.
