Momoven raises €3.5 million to take its motorbike rental abroad
Spanish peer-to-peer premium motorbike rental platform Momoven has closed a €3.5 million round, bringing total funding to more than €5 million, to fund expansion abroad.

Momoven, the Spanish platform for peer-to-peer rental of premium motorbikes, has closed a €3.5 million funding round to drive its international expansion. The deal takes the company's total funding since launch above €5 million. It was founded by David Berbel, Pablo Carceller and Jordi Royo.
The round brings together private investors, including Alex Máquez, family offices and public institutions such as the Instituto Valenciano de Finanzas (IVF) and the Empresa Nacional de Innovación (ENISA). Javier Martínez, formerly of Hawkers Co., also joins as an investor and strategic adviser, contributing experience in scaling and brand positioning.
The money will go into three areas: product development, hiring and internationalisation. The company plans to strengthen its technology, marketing, operations and business development teams.
A model without its own fleet
Unlike traditional motorbike rental businesses that buy and maintain their own fleets, Momoven connects bikes that already exist in each country. It brings in private owners as well as professionals and third-party commercial fleets. According to the company, this avoids the heavy capital tied up in buying vehicles, allows faster expansion and widens geographic coverage without building infrastructure in every location.
More than 10,000 motorbikes have passed through the catalogue, and the community is close to 100,000 registered users. Some owners reinvest their earnings in new bikes and now run small fleets, while traditional rental firms use Momoven's technology to take bookings and win customers without developing their own software.
"This round comes at the ideal moment," said CEO and co-founder David Berbel, adding that the company has validated its model in Spain and can now consider an imminent move beyond its borders.
Roots in motorcycle racing
The brand keeps close ties to racing through its Momoven Idrofoglia RW Racing team in Moto2. It sponsors riders including Arón Canet, Adrián Cruces, David Almansa and Alex Márquez, and gives its name to the Momoven Moto4 European Cup, formerly the European Talent Cup.
The goal for this next phase is to replicate abroad what already works in Spain. "We want finding a motorbike to be as easy as opening an app, wherever you travel," Berbel said.
