London-based early-stage venture capital firm Entourage has closed its second fund at €100 million. Demand was strong enough that the original €75 million target was reached within two weeks, and the firm capped the fund at €100 million before the formal close.

Fund II is backed entirely by private investors, family offices and entrepreneurs, including founders behind Aikido, TechWolf and Collibra. Entourage was started in 2024 by Pieterjan (PJ) Bouten, who co-founded Showpad and helped scale it to more than $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Bouten later became an active angel investor before launching the firm.

A founder-first approach

Entourage says its philosophy extends to governance. It rarely takes board seats, even though it leads or co-leads most of its rounds. Bouten argues that too few investors have built a company at scale, and that many slow startups down with misplaced advice and operational interference. In his view, strong founders need trust, honest challenge at key moments and perspective, not supervision.

Portfolio and plans

Since 2024 the firm has backed fast-growing European technology companies. They include Aikido Security, which became a unicorn this year, Conveo, which recently raised a $50 million Series A, and Lexroom, which reached €30 million in annual recurring revenue within 24 months. Entourage was among the first investors in each, often before the product launched or the company had earned its first euro.

The new fund plans to back about 25 pre-Seed and Seed companies in Europe and beyond. Initial cheques will range from €1 million to €5 million, with substantial reserves held for follow-on rounds.

While the first fund focused mainly on software, Fund II widens the scope to AI, enterprise software, robotics, physical AI and deeptech. The firm also runs a venture-building arm, Entourage Studio.

With the close, the investment team has grown. Partners Pieterjan Bouten, Evert Beeckman and Maarten Mortier are joined by investors Erwan Gardelle, Sixtine Riescher and Illja Schiller. Entourage has also opened an official London office and established a presence in Paris.
