Decathlon Btwin E-FL 900 folding e-bike due February 2027
Decathlon's lightweight Btwin E-FL 900 folding e-bike finally has a release window: mid-February 2027 in Germany, with the same specs and a price of €1,999.99.

Decathlon has finally put a date on the Btwin E-FL 900. The folding electric bike will go on sale in mid-February 2027 in Germany, online and in a selection of stores, according to the German arm of the company. That is almost 20 months after the bike was first shown at Eurobike in June 2025.
The bike was officially presented in September 2025 with a promise of a quick launch, but it never reached shops. It appeared on Decathlon's websites in Belgium and the UK without an availability date, and this week it did the same in Germany, this time with a press release. Decathlon has not announced a French date, though a launch in the same winter window looks likely.
Light frame, small battery
Almost nothing has changed since the first hands-on. The E-FL 900 has an aluminium frame, 16-inch wheels and a fold that takes about a second to undo. A Mahle X30 motor sits in the rear hub, delivering 45 Nm of torque and 250 W nominal power, paired with a single-speed chain drive. The bike weighs 15.95 kg.
The removable 171 Wh battery sits behind the seat tube and charges via USB-C. Range is modest: 55 km in mode 1 of 3, and only 25 km in mode 3, according to Decathlon's English press kit. There is no display, but a handlebar remote has been added, and the Mahle app offers connectivity. Hydraulic disc brakes, lights, mudguards and a kickstand are included.
Price and positioning
The price stays at €1,999.99, which is €300 more than the current Btwin E Fold 900 at €1,699.99. Compared with that model, the E-FL 900 drops from 20-inch to 16-inch wheels, sheds about 3 kg (the E Fold 900 weighs 19 kg) and cuts battery capacity from 252 Wh to 171 Wh, while torque rises from 35 to 45 Nm.
It remains cheaper than the UTO PRO16 at €2,799 and the O2feel JIM at €2,999, which offer automatic two-speed motors and larger batteries of 250 and 269 Wh. Two front bags of 20 and 25 litres are optional, as is a front basket, with prices yet to be confirmed. The E-FL 900 is aimed at commuters who carry their bike on trains or the metro over short trips.
