NoDPI4Android 2.0 Released: Rewritten in Kotlin, APK Shrinks to 2 MB
The first stable NoDPI4Android 2.0 drops Python and Kivy for Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, cutting the APK from 47 MB to 2 MB and adding the disorder method.

The first stable release of NoDPI4Android 2.0, the Android port of the open-source traffic-modification tool NoDPI, is now available. The app has been rewritten from scratch for the second time, moving from Python and Kivy to Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Material 3 Expressive. According to the developer, the switch reduces the APK from 47 MB to just 2 MB, and the interface has been redesigned.
What is new
The key functional change is the disorder method, which first appeared in the latest desktop release, NoDPI 2.3, published earlier this week. That version restored access to some sites. On Android, disorder is enabled by default and can be switched off in the settings. Random fragmentation has been removed, matching the desktop version.
The app also gets a full background service with a notification showing traffic statistics, a quick-settings tile and autostart. A connection log with filters lets users add a domain to the blacklist with one tap. Authorization, a dark theme and Russian and English interfaces are included as well.
Install with care
Version 2.0 is signed with a new key, so it cannot be installed over older builds. Before installing, users should save their blacklist and uninstall the previous version.
The known limitations remain. Telegram and other social networks will not work, nor will Discord calls or sites blocked by IP address. The app requires Android 7.0 or newer and can be downloaded from GitHub.
The developer notes that an article explaining how the TSPU filtering system has changed, and how the new approach works, has already been blocked. For users, the practical takeaway is a much lighter app that follows the desktop version's latest bypass method.
