Changan Uni-V Recall in Russia Covers 1,905 Cars Over Infotainment
Russia's Rosstandart has approved a voluntary recall of 1,905 Changan Uni-V cars because the infotainment interface does not work in Russian.

Russia's federal standards agency Rosstandart has approved a voluntary recall of 1,905 Changan Uni-V vehicles. According to the agency's press service, the campaign is needed because the interface of the multimedia system does not work in Russian.
The recall covers cars sold in Russia between 1 September 2023 and 22 April 2026. The brand's official representative in the country, Changan Motors Rus, will contact affected owners by phone or mail and invite them to the nearest dealership. The repair will be free of charge.
How owners can check their car
Drivers do not have to wait for a call from the distributor. They can compare the car's VIN with the list of recalled vehicles published on the Rosstandart website and see right away whether their Uni-V is included.
Other recalls in the news
The announcement comes shortly after news of a much larger global recall: 2.1 million Volkswagen and Audi vehicles are being called back over brake system problems. The service campaign affects vehicles from model years 2013 to 2024.
According to the German automobile club ADAC, the Volkswagen models involved are the Golf, Golf Variant, Tiguan, Touran and Caddy, built between 24 September 2013 and 1 July 2024. At Audi, the programme covers Q3 crossovers produced from 31 October 2017 to 23 May 2024.
For Changan owners in Russia, the issue is a software and localisation fault rather than a mechanical one, but it affects how drivers use the car's central screen. Checking the VIN against the official list is the quickest way to find out whether a car is part of the campaign.
