CF Benchmarks launches CFB Oracle to bring index data onchain
CF Benchmarks, owned by Kraken parent Payward, is offering the pricing indices behind BlackRock and CME Group products to blockchain apps through its new CFB Oracle.

CF Benchmarks, the Payward-owned company whose indices underpin BlackRock's bitcoin ETF and CME Group's crypto futures, has launched CFB Oracle, a service that delivers its market data to blockchain applications.
The oracle covers benchmarks for cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds, commodities and currencies. It is live on Ethereum, HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain, with other compatible networks planned.
What developers get
The aim is to let developers build onchain index funds, tokenized portfolios and derivatives without creating their own pricing systems. The company points to two examples: a blockchain fund holding tokenized stocks needs reliable prices to value its portfolio, and a lending platform accepting tokenized bonds as collateral needs them to set borrowing limits and decide when to liquidate positions.
CF Benchmarks says the data is digitally signed, so applications can verify that prices came from the company and were not altered. It also publishes each index at the same frequency for every customer instead of charging extra for faster access. The firm says its indices are already used by products representing more than $120 billion in assets.
CFB Oracle does not issue funds or handle trades. Its job is limited to supplying the reference prices those products rely on.
Competition and first use
Payward plans to be an early user. The Kraken parent intends to use CFB Oracle for pricing in an upcoming U.S. perpetual futures offering powered by Hyperliquid, which still awaits regulatory approval.
The launch puts CF Benchmarks up against established oracle providers such as Chainlink and Pyth, which already feed market data to decentralized trading and lending platforms. Its pitch is that the same benchmarks trusted by large financial institutions can now serve DeFi, at a time when more firms want to offer traditional investment products on blockchains.
