BlackLine picks S3NS cloud to host finance software in France
US software vendor BlackLine will host its financial platform in France on S3NS's Premi3ns cloud, with Thales named as the first customer.

US software publisher BlackLine is adding a French hosting option for its accounting and financial software. The company has announced that it chose S3NS to deploy its platform on Premi3ns, the cloud offering run by the joint venture between Thales and Google Cloud.
Premi3ns is qualified under SecNumCloud, the security label issued in France for cloud services handling sensitive data. According to the announcement, the offering gives access to the US provider's service catalogue within a highly secured framework.
Thales as first customer
Thales, which co-owns S3NS, will be the first customer to use BlackLine's platform on this infrastructure. The move shows how a French industrial group is turning to a locally hosted version of the tools used by its finance teams.
Why it matters
Finance departments handle some of the most sensitive data in a company: accounts, closing processes and reconciliations. For organisations that must keep such data under European jurisdiction or meet strict national security requirements, a SecNumCloud-qualified host removes a barrier to adopting American software-as-a-service products.
The deal also illustrates a wider pattern in the French market, where US software vendors partner with sovereign or trusted cloud providers so they can keep serving regulated customers and public-sector-linked groups.
No details on pricing, rollout dates or the number of customers expected to migrate were provided in the announcement.
