Audi A2 e-tron Now Eligible for France's Coup de pouce CEE Bonus

The Audi A2 e-tron is now eligible for the Coup de pouce CEE, the French purchase incentive that replaced the ecological bonus. An official notice published in the Journal officiel on 22 October 2026 confirmed the electric compact's eligibility, lowering its price by several thousand euros.

How the aid works

To qualify, a car must cost less than 47,000 euros and pass the eco-score, which favours vehicles built in Europe. The A2 e-tron is produced in Ingolstadt, Germany, and several trims stay under the price ceiling.

The aid is 3,535 euros for all buyers. It rises to 5,890 euros for households with a reference taxable income per share between 11,251 and 16,880 euros, and to as much as 6,145 euros below 11,250 euros.

Prices after the incentive

The entry version has 170 hp and a 52 kWh battery, with a WLTP range of 423 km. It starts at 38,600 euros list price, or 35,065 euros once the standard aid is deducted.

The long-range option is the 231 hp rear-wheel-drive version with an 84 kWh battery. It reaches up to 646 km WLTP, helped by Audi's aerodynamic work. In the first trim level it costs from 46,900 euros, just under the threshold, so the standard aid brings it to 43,365 euros.

Why it matters

Premium electric cars rarely meet the criteria. Only the entry versions of the Mercedes CLA and the electric GLB stay under 47,000 euros. Audi's choice of a 400-volt architecture and the MEB platform, shared with the Volkswagen ID.3 Neo, keeps entry prices contained.

The eligibility should support sales in France, but the A2 e-tron is entering a highly competitive electric compact segment, and Audi will have to fight for its share of it.
