Freshworks Acquires Israeli AI Startup Robusta for Freshservice
Freshworks has bought Israel-based Robusta Dev for an undisclosed sum to add AI-driven outage diagnosis and fix recommendations to its Freshservice platform.

Freshworks has acquired Israel-based AI startup Robusta Dev for an undisclosed amount, adding AI-powered incident investigation to its IT service management platform Freshservice. The Nasdaq-listed software company says the technology will investigate outages, identify their underlying causes and recommend corrective actions.
What Robusta brings
Founded by Natan Yellin and Arik Alon, Robusta uses AI agents to analyse monitoring data, information from IT infrastructure, and recent code or configuration changes to work out what caused an outage. It also determines how a disruption affects connected services and suggests steps to resolve it.
According to Freshworks, the aim is to cut manual investigation work, consolidate alerts and help engineering teams resolve incidents faster. Engineers can review and approve recommended actions before anything changes in production systems.
Robusta founder Yellin said the technology lets AI agents work effectively in large enterprise environments, where so many raw events are generated that investigating each one individually would be exorbitant in token costs. He said joining Freshworks provides the scale to reach engineering teams while keeping humans in control of decisions that touch production.
Part of a broader buying spree
Freshworks plans to integrate Robusta into Freshservice and deepen interoperability with incident response platforms such as FireHydrant, which it acquired in December last year. FireHydrant helps companies coordinate responses to outages, while Robusta adds root-cause analysis and remediation advice. The company says the combination will connect diagnosis, response and prevention, so lessons from earlier outages can reduce repeat disruptions.
The deal follows Freshworks' agreement, announced earlier this month, to acquire Torii, a SaaS management platform that helps enterprises track software usage and govern AI spending.
The acquisitions come as the company reshapes its business. Freshworks reported a net loss of $4.8 million for Q1 2026, even as revenue rose 16% year on year to $228.6 million. It has also announced plans to cut about 11% of its workforce, roughly 500 employees, as it leans more on AI in product development and automates routine work.
