Orange Cyberdefense Joins Mistral AI Design Partner Program
Orange Cyberdefense is the first European managed security provider to join Mistral AI's Design Partner program, with early access to a security-tuned Mistral Large 4.

Orange Cyberdefense has announced that it is becoming the « first European partner of Mistral AI for designing managed security services », known as MSSP, under the French startup's Design Partner program. The arrangement gives the security provider early access to a variant of Mistral Large 4 optimised for cybersecurity.
What the partnership covers
The stated ambition is to integrate Mistral's latest model, Mistral Large 4, into several core security activities: penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and incident response. Orange Cyberdefense intends to use the model to evolve its offering for businesses and organisations.
The target customers are those concerned about sovereignty and compliance. For them, the origin of the technology and the way it is operated matter as much as raw performance, and a pairing of two French players is meant to speak directly to that concern.
Why it matters
Managed security providers face growing volumes of alerts and vulnerabilities. Embedding a large language model in testing and response workflows is one way to speed up analysis, although no specific performance gains have been disclosed.
The announcement also illustrates tighter links inside the French tech ecosystem, as established service providers look to build on a homegrown AI developer rather than rely solely on non-European models. Further details on timing and availability have not been given.
