Venttup raises $3 million in pre-Series A led by Rainmatter
Industries 5.0 startup Venttup has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round led by Zerodha's Rainmatter and Unicorn India Ventures to scale manufacturing and AI.
Venttup, an Industries 5.0 startup, has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, and Unicorn India Ventures.
The company was incubated at the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). It was founded in 2022 and had previously raised a seed round from Unicorn India Ventures in September 2024, making the investor a repeat backer.
How the money will be used
According to the company's press release, the fresh capital will go towards three areas. Venttup plans to expand its engineering team, invest in precision manufacturing facilities and build out rapid prototyping infrastructure.
It also intends to adopt AI to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency. These are functions that matter for companies that depend on a network of suppliers to turn designs into physical parts.
Why it matters
The round reflects continued investor interest in Indian startups that sit between design, manufacturing and industrial supply chains, a field often grouped under the Industries 5.0 label. Backing from Rainmatter, along with a follow-on commitment from an existing investor, signals confidence in Venttup's approach at an early stage.
The company did not disclose further details in the information available, such as valuation or revenue. How quickly Venttup can convert the funding into manufacturing capacity and AI-driven sourcing tools will be the next thing to watch.
