Apple Music Selfie Sing in iOS 27.3 Beta Lets You Record Karaoke
Apple's iOS 27.3 developer beta 1 hides Selfie Sing, an Apple Music mode that films your karaoke performance while lyrics stay on screen.

Apple has added a hidden karaoke recording mode to Apple Music in iOS 27.3 developer beta 1. Called Selfie Sing, it uses the iPhone's camera to film you singing while the lyrics remain visible on screen.
Apple Music Sing is not new. It already lets listeners lower the original singer's voice and follow lyrics that light up in time with the track. Selfie Sing goes a step further by putting the user on camera, turning the iPhone into what amounts to a pocket karaoke studio.
How Selfie Sing works
Open the Selfie Sing playlist and tap a song to start playback. Two buttons appear: a microphone icon that adjusts the vocal volume, and below it a camera icon that starts recording a vertical video. The lyrics stay on screen while the camera captures you, so you do not have to worry about losing your place.
Once you stop recording, a simple video editor opens. It lets you change the vocal volume and trim the length of the clip before sharing it with whoever you like.
Availability and devices
The feature is limited to iPhone and is not available on iPad. On iPhone Duo, recording can use the more powerful rear cameras while the lyrics play on the outer display, which should give sharper video and keep the words in view.
The beta also brings an adaptive dark mode in Safari, vertical tabs, new StandBy clocks and calendar widgets. Selfie Sing is part of a developer beta, so it is not yet available to the general public, and Apple has not said when it will roll out more widely.
