Zarya, the Rural Driving Sim from SBSR Games, Finds a Publisher
Russian indie studio SBSR Games has signed Spaghetti Cat to publish Zarya, a post-Soviet village driving sim inspired by MudRunner and Death Stranding.

Independent Russian studio SBSR Games has found a publisher for Zarya, its relaxed rural driving simulator set in a post-Soviet village. The studio says Spaghetti Cat, the company behind Midnight Souls and Lost in the Roots, will help with support, promotion and bringing the release closer.
"Today we see that we can truly bring all our ideas and dreams to life," the developers said, adding that they are glad to have partners who believed in the concept and share their vision.
From passion project to studio
SBSR described the deal as a pivotal moment. Zarya began as a personal project by people devoted to their craft, and the team now says it has grown from a small group of enthusiasts into a proper game development studio. More "interesting and major news" is promised "very soon". The announcement came with new screenshots showing the game's night atmosphere and its mud simulation.
What the game offers
The game is inspired by MudRunner, Death Stranding and Disco Elysium. It takes place in the village of Zarya, where a driver named Vasily sets out to breathe new life into the place. Players deliver parcels, tow vehicles, help villagers, earn a living and collect cars.
The developers promise the "atmosphere of the motherland", post-Soviet clichés and stories of people living far from civilization. The game will support 29 languages, including Russian.
Zarya is in development for PC and will be sold on Steam. No release date has been announced yet.
