Impact of the attacks
Yandex said drone attacks on its data centers in October damaged part of its infrastructure. The incidents occurred after the quarter ended and did not affect its results. The company is still assessing the consequences, but says all services for users and businesses have been restored and provide core functions, with engineers working to bring back the remaining capabilities.
Yandex says it intends to improve infrastructure reliability and move to a more distributed operating model. Until the new forecast arrives, investors will have to judge the full financial effect of the attacks without company guidance.
