M.Video launches rental service for refurbished electronics
Russian retailer M.Video has started renting out refurbished electronics and home appliances with no deposit or loan, working with its partner Pauri.

Russian retailer M.Video has launched a rental service for electronics and home appliances on its website, the company's press office said. The retailer will supply its own refurbished devices, while its partner Pauri handles order processing and customer service.
No deposit, no loan
Devices are rented without a deposit and without taking out a loan. Customers make payments over a set term, after which they can either return the device or buy it out. The service also allows customers to sign up for a subscription.
At the first stage, M.Video plans to rent out its own refurbished equipment. Through Pauri, customers will also be able to rent televisions, projectors, karaoke systems, robot vacuum cleaners, garment steamers, office equipment, smart glasses, VR devices and portable gaming consoles.
How it works
To rent a device, a customer leaves a request on the website. A Pauri manager then gets in touch, helps choose a device and explains the terms, and the order is completed online.
Customers can collect the equipment from Pauri's office or have it delivered to their home, workplace or an event venue. If needed, specialists will help set up and connect the hardware. When the rental period ends, the device can be returned or the term extended.
The launch gives shoppers a way to use gadgets without a large upfront payment, and it gives the retailer a use for its refurbished stock.
