Spotify launches audiobooks in Turkey with 350,000 titles
Spotify has opened its audiobook catalog to users in Turkey from 5 November, offering 15 hours a month through the 149 TL Audiobooks+ add-on.

Spotify has launched its audiobook service in Turkey. As of 5 November, users in the country can access a catalog of more than 350,000 audiobooks. The rollout is part of the company's plan to expand audiobooks from 22 markets to more than 180 by the end of 2026.
Spotify Free and Premium users in Turkey can listen to 15 hours of audiobooks per month through the Audiobooks+ add-on, priced at 149 TL a month. Only the time spent actually listening counts, and the allowance renews every billing period. Users can also buy an extra 10 hours for 159 TL. At the start, Audiobooks+ subscribers in Turkey get the global catalog of more than 350,000 English-language titles.
Page Match and cross-device sync
One highlighted feature is Page Match. Users scan a book's ISBN barcode and enter a page number to pick up the audiobook where they left off in a printed book or e-book. Spotify says more than one million people have used it so far, and it supports more than 30 languages.
The Audiobooks section of the app offers personalized recommendations based on a user's interest in music, podcasts and books. Listening progress syncs across more than 2,000 devices, so a book started on a phone can continue in a car or on a smart speaker. A sleep timer and offline listening are also included.
Open to Turkish authors and publishers
According to Spotify, monthly audiobook listeners on the platform grew by about 40% over the past year, and total listening time rose by more than 30%. Audiobooks+, available for about a year, has passed one million subscribers.
Spotify's audiobook deals are non-exclusive, so publishers and authors can keep using their existing distribution channels while also adding titles to Spotify. Publishers and independent authors in Turkey can upload their work through Spotify for Authors, view listener data and reach users in more than 180 markets. The company plans to expand the Turkish catalog over time as new publishers and local authors join.
Akshat Harbola, Spotify's general manager for the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey, said bringing audiobooks to Turkey will let people engage with books in new moments and help authors and publishers reach new readers.
