Saramin's KoMate Grows Foreign Members 260% a Year in 2 Years
Saramin's foreign-talent hiring platform KoMate has grown its foreign membership by an average of 260.1% a year since its 2024 launch, the company said.

Saramin's hiring platform for foreign talent, KoMate, is growing quickly two years after its launch. The company said on November 3 that, as of the end of October, the number of foreign members had risen by an average of 260.1% a year over the past two years.
Applications from foreign job seekers climbed an average of 323.4% a year over the same period. Employers are joining too: corporate accounts grew by an average of 159.4% a year, and new job postings by 349.1%.
KoMate launched in 2024 to connect foreigners who want to work in South Korea with companies hoping to hire them. Its features include AI-based job recommendations, personalized information, translation into 30 languages and a visa score calculator. It also runs offline job fairs and university supporter programs for international students.
Universities and public bodies
Cooperation with universities and public institutions is expanding. According to KoMate, members holding a D-2 student visa grew by an average of 197.7% a year over the past two years. The company recently built an employment management system for international students with Hanyang University, which lets the school see students' application status in real time and manage job-related statistics.
KoMate currently works with Hanyang University and the Busan Global City Foundation, among others, and is discussing further partnerships with universities in the Seoul metropolitan area and regional hub universities.
Easing hiring hurdles
In a June survey of 114 companies, KoMate found the main difficulties in hiring foreigners were verifying applicants' skills (43%), a lack of information on visa and administrative procedures (37.7%) and finding suitable talent (36%).
The platform offers talent verification, matching and visa information to address these issues, and plans to refine its AI-based matching and foreigner verification features. A KoMate official said the company aims to develop the service beyond hiring into a platform that supports universities' management of international students, local governments' efforts to retain talent and foreigners' job searches in South Korea.
