Ravical raises $17M seed to scale AI for accounting firms
AI startup Ravical has raised $17 million in seed funding led by MMC Ventures to expand its platform for accounting and tax firms across Europe and into the US.

Ravical, an AI startup building software for accounting and tax firms, has raised $17 million in seed funding to develop its product and expand internationally. MMC Ventures led the round, with existing investors Lakestar and Pitchdrive and new investor Shapers taking part. Total funding now stands at $25 million.
The company was founded in 2025 by Joris Van Der Gucht (CEO), Ken Bastiaensen (CTO) and Benjamin Vandermarliere (CPO). Its platform helps firms manage operations and make better use of internal expertise by turning the working methods of experienced professionals into shared processes that can be applied across a firm's entire client base.
A industry under pressure
Ravical is targeting an industry where demand for accounting and advisory services is rising, while recruiting and retaining skilled staff remains difficult. At the same time, AI tools are changing how clients get financial information and advice.
Research conducted by Ravical suggests 70 per cent of UK small and medium-sized enterprises now act on AI-generated advice without consulting their accountants. That puts firms under pressure to adapt their services and prove the value of their expertise.
The platform is meant to let firms use AI consistently rather than leaving it to individual employees to adopt separate tools. "When every employee uses their own assistant in their own way, the individual gets better, but the firm doesn't," said Van Der Gucht. "We turn how a firm's best people work into a shared way of working that AI carries out across every client."
Expansion plans
More than 100 accounting firms across Europe already use the platform. The new capital will fund product development, team growth and expansion in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Ravical also plans to enter additional European markets and the US.
