MTS Link to Launch in Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Indonesia in 2027
MTS Link, the Russian video meeting and collaboration platform, plans to enter Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Indonesia in Q1 2027, working through local partners.

MTS Link, a Russian developer of video meeting, corporate chat and collaboration tools, plans to launch projects in Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Indonesia as early as the first quarter of 2027, the company said. In all three countries it already works with local partners, and the platform is being adapted for each market and translated into local languages.
Over the next five to ten years, MTS Link wants international projects to account for 10% or more of its revenue. Executive director Pavel Potekhin said the expansion makes economic sense because video conferencing services cost more in these countries than in Russia.
Partners instead of local offices
The company is working with local telecom operators and system integrators and does not plan to open its own offices for now. Its main target audience is large businesses and the public sector. Talks with potential customers cover transport infrastructure and education, and the company is developing projects for retail, manufacturing, construction, finance, transport and logistics. All foreign efforts are run jointly with the international business unit of the MTS group.
AI messenger and port automation
One idea discussed in Indonesia is an AI messenger for universities that could analyse student activity and help track anxiety levels. The company stressed that this is only under discussion: universities are a key audience, but there are no concrete plans or timelines for such a service. Foreign customers have also asked about automating seaports. That project is at the study stage and could require other developers, for example from the wider MTS ecosystem.
The current AI assistant helps find and organise information, summarise meetings and chats, and add meetings to colleagues' calendars. It is expected to take in more context from documents and emails created on the platform and gradually become a full personal assistant.
Localisation and security as selling points
MTS Link is translating the platform into Indonesian, Vietnamese and Kazakh and says this customisation sets it apart from competitors. It also points to security: customers can deploy the services on their own servers, which lets organisations control where corporate data is stored. According to the company, rising data protection requirements are pushing local businesses to consider Russian solutions.
