Kabilio, a Spanish AI platform for accounting firms and their clients, has closed a €10 million funding round led by the international funds Picus Capital and Visionaries Club. CDTI also took part in the deal. Total capital raised since the company launched in 2025 now stands at €14 million.

Picus Capital manages more than €1.5 billion and has backed companies such as Personio and Enpal. Visionaries manages around €600 million, counts Lovable and n8n in its portfolio, and had already led Kabilio's pre-seed round.

Growth and use of funds

Kabilio expects to end 2026 working with more than 500 professional firms across Spain, after multiplying its customer base by five in the past year. Users include Adlanter, plus Solfico and Gemap from the iusTime group. According to the company, almost all firms have expanded their use of the tool since the initial rollout.

The money will go toward distributing Kabilio Empresas, a collaborative environment where SMEs and freelancers manage their business alongside their accounting firm, and toward finishing an AI accounting agent that automates operational tasks for both firms and clients. Kabilio will also strengthen its product, technology and support teams; it currently has 80 staff.

How the product works

Kabilio Empresas, offered by several firms since mid-September and built around a free-access version, lets SMEs and freelancers issue and scan invoices, connect their banks and check cash position in real time, including pending payments and collections. The data is instantly available to the accounting firm, which decides when and for which clients to activate it. The AI then prepares journal entry and reconciliation proposals that the professional reviews and validates.

The technology works as an AI automation layer on top of the firm's existing accounting software, so teams do not have to switch programs. Kabilio will add integration with the two most widely used professional accounting packages in Spain this month. Firms that have measured the impact report more than doubling productivity in bookkeeping and reconciliation.

The AI accounting agent, which works under professional supervision and aims to ease the sector's shortage of qualified staff, is already in testing at several firms. Its beta will be presented at Accountex España in Madrid on 18 and 19 November.
