Motorola Signature 27 Official: 7,000 mAh Battery, Action Sensor
Motorola has fully unveiled the Signature 27 with a 7,000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and a dedicated Event Vision action sensor. It launches November 16.

Motorola has taken the wraps off the Signature 27 in full, confirming a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is 35% larger than the one in the original Signature. The phone goes on sale on November 16 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Display, chip and cooling
The 6.78-inch 1.5K "Extreme AMOLED Duo" screen uses a tandem panel with two emissive layers, a 120Hz refresh rate and 12,000 nits of peak brightness at a 1% average pixel level. Motorola says it is up to 34% more energy efficient and lasts up to 121% longer than the regular AMOLED of its predecessor.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. Cooling comes from the ArcticMesh system, which combines a thermal gel infused with micro-diamonds and an 8,384 mm² vapor chamber, 40% larger than before.
Cameras and the action sensor
The rear setup has a 50MP main camera with Sony's Lytia 910 sensor, LOFIC technology, an f/1.6 aperture and OIS. It is joined by a 200MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x "Super Zoom Pro", plus a 50MP autofocus ultrawide with a 122-degree field of view. Video tops out at 8K/30fps or 4K/120fps with Dolby Vision, and the 50MP selfie camera supports autofocus and 4K recording.
Motorola calls the new EVS (Event Vision Sensor) the first dedicated action sensor on a smartphone. It detects pixel-level changes in light intensity independently of the other cameras and works with the Action Shot feature to freeze fast-moving subjects.
Build, software and price
Charging reaches 90W wired and 50W wireless, with 5W reverse wireless and 4.5W reverse wired. The price of the bigger battery is size: 162.01 x 77.04 x 7.99 mm and 227g, against 7mm and 186g for the original. The phone has an aluminum frame, a ceramic and glass body with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, IP68/IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H compliance.
It runs Android 17 with seven major OS updates promised, supports Wi-Fi 8 and is ready for Google's Gemini Intelligence features, alongside Motorola's own Qira. The Signature 27 comes in Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive. Recommended pricing is $1,599 or €1,899, though some retailers and partners in select countries will sell it for €1,399.
