Lengow Acquires Daily&Co to Run Marketplaces for Brands

Lengow is buying its partner Daily&Co, adding managed marketplace operations to its software and targeting brands that lack the staff to run sales channels.

Nantes-based Lengow has announced the acquisition of its partner Daily&Co, extending its offer from catalogue software to the day-to-day running of marketplace sales. The financial terms were not disclosed.

The logic is simple: a brand can own the software to distribute products across marketplaces and still lack the team to operate the channel. Publishing a catalogue does not settle everything. Listings must be enriched, anomalies handled, sales activated, customers answered and invoices managed. Lengow wants to fill that gap between tooling and execution.

What Daily&Co brings

Based in Lisbon, Daily&Co says it manages sales for brands and manufacturers on more than 40 marketplaces in Europe and North America. Its clients include Dessange, Holcim and Medela. It combines data management tools with managed services covering the orchestration, governance and enrichment of product information, catalogue publishing and the monitoring of marketplace operations, through to customer service and billing.

"Brands now expect more than technology: they want a partner able to steer their channels with them," said Lengow CEO Nicolas Appert. Daily&Co founder François Nieuwlaet said his team has worked with Lengow technology for years and that joining it will give clients a stronger platform with the same team.

Lengow says it has more than 3,600 clients in over 60 countries, a base that represents a potential market for the new services. The company can sell them to equipped brands that find the channel too complex to run in-house, or use them to win brands that have a suitable catalogue but no team. Pricing, service commitments and the split of commercial responsibilities were not detailed.

The productivity test

The move follows Marlin Equity Partners taking a majority stake in Lengow in February 2021 and the April 2022 purchase of Netrivals, which added price monitoring and competitive analysis. Services change the economics, though: if every new account demands proportionally more staff, costs will grow as fast as revenue. Appert points to generative AI for catalogue management, and the value of Daily&Co will depend on sharing methods across clients and automating repetitive tasks.

Another open question is the agencies that already use Lengow's platform and may now find the company competing for the same missions. Lengow's rivals include Channable, ChannelEngine, Rithum and Shoppingfeed.
