Saudi proptech startup Ghanem has raised an additional $1.5 million in a pre-seed extension, bringing the total round to $8.6 million. Real estate companies and a group of strategic angel investors took part in the new financing.

The extension follows an earlier $7.1 million tranche that included Al-Romaih Group. Waad VC has also invested in the company.

What Ghanem does

Founded in 2025 by Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi and Amr Essam, Ghanem runs a fractional ownership platform for income-generating properties in Saudi Arabia. Individuals and institutions can invest from SAR 1,000, depending on the opportunity. According to the company, properties go through verification, due diligence and valuation by accredited valuers before listing, and all products are approved as Sharia-compliant by its Sharia committee.

Milestones so far

Ghanem says it has executed several real estate investment transactions and now counts thousands of registered users. It has begun distributing rental income to investors without payment delays. Digital ownership deeds were issued to 580 participants in the first income-generating property offered through its app.

The company also signed and activated a digital integration with the Real Estate Registry (RER), allowing fractional stakes to be registered and deeds issued in investors' names. It joined the regulatory sandbox of Saudi Arabia's Real Estate General Authority (REGA) several months ago and launched its fractional product there, under regulatory supervision.

How the money will be used

The new capital will fund product development, a wider range of property opportunities and strategic partnerships. "We are working to make property ownership more accessible through a clear digital experience and ownership documented in the investor's name," said Al-Ghamdi, who is CEO and co-founder. He added that the company will keep developing its solutions within the REGA sandbox.
