Syria-based foodtech startup Percent Labs has closed a seed funding round at a valuation exceeding $1 million. The amount raised was not disclosed, and the round was backed by Syrian angel investors living abroad.

The company was founded in 2025 by Khaled Al Hosini, Soubhi Bakri and Jawad Shebli, roughly 14 months before the announcement. It builds and runs several delivery-focused food brands from a shared cloud kitchen infrastructure, bringing product development, marketing and centralised kitchen operations under one roof.

Growth target: four times today's volume

Percent Labs currently handles more than 10,000 orders per month. It aims to pass 40,000 monthly orders within the next 18 months, about four times its present volume. To get there, it plans to expand production capacity, grow its existing brands and introduce new food concepts.

The new funding will go toward operational expansion, new food products and additional delivery brands, as well as upgrades to the company's operational infrastructure.

Shared kitchens, lower costs

The multi-brand model lets several food businesses share production facilities and operations instead of each running a separate physical restaurant. According to the company, this reduces operating costs and lets it widen its portfolio without the capital expenditure of opening a new restaurant for every brand.

Percent Labs also uses artificial intelligence to analyse operational data, support decision-making and improve efficiency across its brands.

The round shows diaspora capital backing a local food delivery business in Syria. For Percent Labs, the next test is whether its shared infrastructure can carry a fourfold rise in orders while it strengthens its position in the country's restaurant and food delivery market.
