Kabilio raises €10M to bring AI agents to accounting firms
Spanish startup Kabilio has raised €10 million led by Picus Capital and Visionaries to roll out an AI accounting agent and a platform for small businesses.

Spanish AI accounting platform Kabilio has raised €10 million in a round led by Picus Capital and Visionaries, with participation from CDTI, Spain's public agency for technological innovation. The investment lifts total funding since launch to €14 million. The same two lead investors also backed the company's pre-seed round.
Founded by Jose Ojeda and Álex Valls, Kabilio builds software that helps accounting firms and their small business clients automate administrative and financial work. Its platform reads invoices, suggests accounting entries, matches bank transactions and prepares reconciliations, flagging cases that need a professional's attention. It runs alongside firms' existing software, so accountants review and approve data instead of typing it in. According to the company, this cuts time spent on bookkeeping and reconciliation by about 60 per cent.
An AI agent and a client-facing platform
Kabilio is now introducing an AI accounting agent that can retrieve invoices, reconcile transactions, validate entries and request missing documents by email and WhatsApp. Accountants assign tasks in plain language and set how much autonomy the agent has. Several firms are already piloting it.
The company has also launched Kabilio Empresas, which lets small businesses issue invoices, connect bank accounts and track cash flow while sharing data with their accounting firm in real time. Fiscalidad Inteligente and Alemany Assessors already use it for a large part of their client portfolios.
"An agent is only as good as the data it works on," said co-founder and co-CEO Álex Valls, explaining why clients are being brought onto the same platform. In a later phase, Kabilio plans to extend the agent to small businesses, so it can issue invoices, chase overdue payments, request missing receipts and answer routine accounting and tax questions.
Growth
Kabilio now works with nearly 500 accounting firms, up from 100 a year ago, including Adlanter, Solfico and Gemap. Its team has grown to 80 people, more than half in product and engineering. The new capital will fund the agent's rollout, further automation of accounting workflows and expansion of the shared platform.
