Fal, a company that builds infrastructure for generative media, has raised $1.3 billion in a Series F round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. NVIDIA, Sound Ventures, HOF Capital and T. Rowe Price also took part. The round values the company at $16 billion, double the $8 billion valuation it carried in April, according to Bloomberg.

Fal announced the Series F together with a previously closed $350 million Series E, led by Sequoia Capital in April. Taken together, the two rounds add up to $1.65 billion in funding.

What fal does

Founded in 2021 by Turkish entrepreneurs Burkay Gür and Görkem Yurtseven, fal lets businesses run image, video and audio AI models at scale. Its platform is aimed at companies in entertainment, advertising, e-commerce, gaming and marketing that want to fold generative AI into their existing production and creative workflows.

As generative media spreads across these industries, companies need computing infrastructure that can handle large volumes of content generation without losing model performance or efficiency. That demand is the market fal is targeting.

During 2026, the company has worked on improving the quality and speed of generative media models through post-training techniques. It has also kept developing its own models alongside those supplied by partners, widening what its platform can do.

What comes next

The new capital will go toward expanding fal's inference infrastructure and its team, as well as further development of its generative media technology. The company plans to invest in research and explore new approaches to AI-powered content creation throughout 2027.

The doubling of the valuation in roughly seven months, backed by a mix of venture investors, a chipmaker and an asset manager, shows how much capital is flowing toward the infrastructure layer behind AI-generated images, video and audio.
