Entourage closes €100 million second fund led by Pieterjan Bouten

London-based early-stage VC Entourage has closed its €100 million Fund II, backed entirely by entrepreneurs and private investors, after passing its €75 million target in two weeks.

Entourage, the London-based early-stage venture capital firm founded by Showpad co-founder and former CEO Pieterjan Bouten, has closed its second fund at €100 million. The firm announced the close today, just over two years after it launched its first fund in 2024.

According to the firm, Entourage Fund II surpassed its original €75 million target within two weeks, ending well above the initial goal.

Backed by entrepreneurs

The fund has been backed entirely by entrepreneurs, family offices and private investors. Among the backers are founders behind Aikido and TechWolf, two European technology companies.

That investor base is a notable feature. Rather than relying on institutional limited partners, Entourage draws its capital from people who have built companies themselves, which fits the firm's founder-led profile.

Why it matters

For European early-stage founders, a quickly oversubscribed fund led by an operator is a sign that appetite for seed-stage investing remains healthy, particularly for managers who combine capital with hands-on company-building experience. Bouten built Showpad, the sales enablement software company, before moving into investing.

The pace of the raise, from first fund to a €100 million successor in just over two years, also suggests that Entourage's early track record and network resonated with backers.

Further details on the fund's investment strategy, ticket sizes and portfolio were not included in the announcement material available at the time of writing.
