EloElo Group Raises $80 Million Series C Led by Hornbill, NBCUniversal

Bengaluru-based consumer AI and entertainment firm EloElo Group has closed an $80 million Series C round led by Hornbill Capital and NBCUniversal.

EloElo Group, a Bengaluru-based consumer AI and entertainment company, has raised $80 million in a Series C round led by Hornbill Capital and NBCUniversal.

MIT Investment Co. also joined the round, alongside existing investors Play Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Waterbridge Ventures, Griffin Gaming Partners and others.

Where the money will go

According to the company, the fresh capital will fund three areas. The first is original content across multiple languages. The second is the international launch of Story TV, its micro drama platform. The third is expanded investment in Dolphin AI, its agentic AI creative suite.

The mix reflects a strategy that pairs short-form scripted entertainment with AI tools for creators. Micro dramas, which are short serialized episodes made for mobile viewing, have become a focus for entertainment startups, and EloElo is now taking its platform beyond India.

Why it matters

NBCUniversal's role as a co-lead gives the company a backer from a major global media group, which goes beyond a purely financial investment. For the Indian startup ecosystem, the round also shows that investors continue to back consumer AI and entertainment businesses at the growth stage.

EloElo was founded in 2020 by former Flipkart executive Saurabh Pandey. The next milestones to watch are the overseas rollout of Story TV and the further build-out of Dolphin AI, both of which the new funding is meant to support.
