Motorola Edge 70 Max drops to €519 at MediaMarkt before Black Friday

Battery and display lead the spec sheet

The phone runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which should handle heavy multitasking, video editing and demanding 3D games. Its 6.82-inch Extreme AMOLED display is calibrated by Pantone, which makes it well suited to streaming and gaming.

The standout feature is a 7,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery, a capacity well above the market average. It should comfortably last more than two days of intense use, and two to three days of lighter use without charging.

Who should buy it

The phone suits people who spend long days away from a charger, travel often or are tired of topping up mid-afternoon. The 256 GB of storage leaves plenty of room for photos, apps and files.

There are trade-offs. With a 6.82-inch panel and such a large battery, it is not a compact or pocketable device, and it is hard to use comfortably with one hand. The 8 GB of RAM is enough for everyday use, but demanding users may have wanted a 12 GB version.

At €519, the Edge 70 Max undercuts its launch price by €180, which makes it one of the earliest notable pre-Black Friday phone deals in Spain.
