Conlio raises €6.4 million for AI finance automation in freight

German freighttech startup Conlio has raised €6.4 million led by Piton Capital to expand its AI financial operations platform for road freight forwarders across Europe.

Conlio, a German startup that builds an AI-powered financial operations platform for road freight forwarders, has raised €6.4 million to expand across Europe.

The round was led by Piton Capital. Haufe Group Ventures also took part, and two logistics groups are backing the company: WaVe-X, part of WALTER GROUP, and F-LOG.

Automating finance in freight

According to the company, the new funding will accelerate the automation of financial systems across the freight industry. Conlio targets road freight forwarders, a segment where financial processes are often handled manually and spread across many documents and partners.

The involvement of two logistics groups alongside financial and corporate investors signals that the product is meant to fit the daily needs of forwarders rather than serve as a generic finance tool.

Why it matters

For forwarders, back-office work such as invoicing and reconciliation ties up staff and can slow down cash flow. Platforms that automate these tasks with AI promise to cut that workload, which is why freighttech has become an active area for investors.

The round gives Conlio capital to move beyond its home market and bring its platform to forwarders in other European countries. Further details, such as target markets and a timeline for the expansion, were not part of the announcement.
