Clip acquires Pulpos to add business management tools
Mexican fintech unicorn Clip has bought Pulpos, a cloud-based business management platform founded in 2023, for an undisclosed sum, and will tie it to its payments.

Mexican fintech unicorn Clip has acquired Pulpos, a cloud-based business management platform, for an undisclosed amount. The deal pushes Clip beyond payments and into the day-to-day software merchants use to run their businesses.
Founded in 2023, Pulpos offers tools to manage sales, inventory, electronic invoicing, finances and online stores. The platform also includes AI agents that work through WhatsApp, a channel widely used by small businesses in Latin America.
What changes for merchants
Clip plans to integrate its payments with Pulpos' management tools. According to the companies, the combination will allow automatic inventory updates, invoice generation and transaction recording, cutting the manual work that often comes with reconciling sales across separate systems.
Pulpos will keep operating under its own brand and with its existing team, so current customers should not see an abrupt change in how the product is offered.
Funding background
Pulpos has raised a total of $9 million. That includes a $4 million seed round backed by Andreessen Horowitz, H20 Capital Innovation, Latitud and Newtopia, and a $5 million round led by Dalus Capital in April 2026.
The acquisition fits a broader pattern among payments companies, which are adding software and automation to deepen relationships with merchants rather than competing only on transaction fees. For Clip, bundling payments with inventory, invoicing and finance tools could make its offering harder to replace. Financial terms were not disclosed.
