Brain Ventures Lists ToonFlow Webtoon Plugin on Adobe Exchange

South Korean AI localization company Brain Ventures has registered ToonFlow, a Photoshop plugin that automates webtoon translation and lettering, on Adobe Exchange, Adobe's official marketplace. The listing puts a tool that handles the main steps of webtoon localization in a single pipeline in front of a global audience.

What ToonFlow does

ToonFlow is built so localization workers can translate and letter pages without leaving Photoshop. It detects speech bubbles and text areas, runs optical character recognition (OCR) on source text, including vertical writing, and applies context-aware machine translation that takes a glossary into account. It then sets the translated text with automatically matched fonts.

An "Autopilot" feature runs these stages in sequence, so users don't need to switch tabs. A "Preset" function saves settings for each title, and a source/translation comparison panel lets reviewers check results before and after. The plugin currently supports Korean, Japanese and English. New accounts get one free episode to try it.

Backing and outlook

The plugin was developed with support from the 2026 Goyang-type TIPS program, a private-investment-linked startup support scheme. The company opened a branch in Goyang in March and was selected for the program in May, when research and development began. Brain Ventures is also a resident of the Pangyo Startup Zone.

The company expects that automating the manual lettering process will cut turnaround time significantly, though it gave no figures. ToonFlow is distributed through Adobe Exchange and its own website.

CEO Kim Won-hoe said the company has brought its accumulated localization technology into the Photoshop environment most familiar to workers. He said Brain Ventures will keep refining the technology to become a core localization solution trusted by global webtoon producers and distribution platforms.
