Apple Creator Studio adds AI features built on OpenAI models
Apple is updating Creator Studio with AI tools that combine Apple Intelligence and OpenAI models, plus built-in MotionVFX effects in Final Cut Pro for Mac.

Apple has announced a major update to Creator Studio, adding what it calls "powerful new AI features" that rely on a mix of Apple-built models and OpenAI models. The update is free for existing subscribers and is due "this November", though Apple has not given an exact date.
The company unveiled the changes alongside new iMacs and a 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip.
Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro
The headline addition is MotionVFX, now built directly into Final Cut Pro for Mac. It gives editors thousands of elements, including templates, graphics, titles and transitions, as well as tools for rotoscoping, tracking and color grading. Editing in Pixelmator Pro is also integrated, and Apple's curated Content Hub now offers stock video, photos and backgrounds inside Final Cut Pro.
Logic Pro for Mac gets a new intelligent assistant in beta, powered by Apple and OpenAI models. It can help users start a new song, set up a vocal track from a single prompt or refine a project in progress. Stem Splitter can now separate drums, and a redesigned Browser brings all sounds together, with music understanding and a Splice library.
Pixelmator Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers
Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill, which lets creators transform selected areas of an image using natural language.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers receive an assistant, also in beta, that understands document context. In Keynote it helps design, animate and refine slides. In Pages it drafts, restructures and fine-tunes text. In Numbers it calculates, visualizes and organizes data, suggests chart types with a one-tap preview and builds custom tables using world knowledge. The apps also gain stock video in the Content Hub and new premium themes and templates.
Apple is also adding Model Context Protocol (MCP) support to the three apps. It allows external AI agents and tools to read content, make edits and run automated actions directly in Keynote, Pages and Numbers.
The use of OpenAI models alongside Apple Intelligence is notable, as it shows Apple blending outside models into its own creative software for subscribers.
