UAE-based healthtech startup Vitalls has secured a $1.5 million investment commitment from Singapore-based EST Growmore, the investment arm of EST Group. The money is part of Vitalls' seed round, and EST Growmore also holds an option to invest a further $1 million.

The agreement was announced at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit. It was signed by Vitalls founder Mehdi Bouchenak and Dr. Sindhu Bhaskar, Chairman of EST Group. EST Growmore joins the round as anchor investor.

A health record that travels with the patient

Founded in 2023, Vitalls develops an AI-powered digital health passport. It lets individuals and families store, manage and share their medical records securely across healthcare providers and countries.

The company says the problem is fragmentation. People move between cities, countries and health systems, but their records stay scattered across clinics and laboratories, in different languages and formats. That leads to repeated tests, delayed care and incomplete information when it matters most. Vitalls offers one user-controlled place to hold a full record and share it, with consent, with any provider.

The funding will support development and rollout of the passport, which targets internationally mobile individuals, families and enterprises.

Beyond capital

The two companies will also explore distribution, product development and strategic partnerships across EST Group's telecommunications and healthcare investment portfolio. The aim is to speed Vitalls' growth in the region and internationally.

"Patient-owned health records are no longer a niche idea. They are where healthcare is going," Bouchenak said. Bhaskar said his group studied the problem and is convinced, adding that it intends to put its network to work to help Vitalls grow faster.

The announcement does not disclose a valuation, the total size of the seed round or a launch timeline for the rollout.
