Krafton and Netflix to Produce Live-Action PUBG Series
Krafton has announced a live-action PUBG series with Netflix, led by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Donald Glover as writer, director, star and executive producer.

Krafton said on October 30 that it will produce a live-action series based on its flagship game franchise PUBG together with Netflix. The project brings in a top-tier Hollywood team and marks a major step in turning the battle royale hit into a wider media franchise.
Donald Glover at the helm
Donald Glover, the actor and director who won Emmy and Golden Globe awards for the US series Atlanta, will oversee writing, directing, the lead role and executive production. Stephen Glover, who has collaborated with him on multiple projects, is credited as co-writer and executive producer.
Further global content expertise comes from Michael Schaefer, chief creative officer at Neon TV, and Pam Udeorji, a creative partner at Gilga, who join as executive producers.
Krafton's in-house entertainment arm
On the Krafton side, its entertainment subsidiary LV3H will act as a direct production partner. LV3H CEO Jang Tae-seok and Vice President Lee Su-jin will serve as executive producers and lead the expansion of media content built on the PUBG universe, according to the company.
Why it matters
PUBG helped drive the global battle royale boom and has posted record sales worldwide. The game holds seven Guinness World Records and is regarded as a pop-culture icon after years of support from players. A Netflix series would extend that reach to audiences well beyond gaming.
Video game adaptations have become a proven route for studios to reach large audiences, and PUBG brings a recognizable brand and a global player base to the table. Krafton has not yet said what the story will be about, who else will star, or how many episodes are planned.
Details of the series and its release schedule will be announced in stages at a later date, the company said.
