UGREEN NASync DXP6800 Ultra and DXP8800 Ultra launch from €1,229.99
UGREEN adds the six-bay DXP6800 Ultra and eight-bay DXP8800 Ultra NAS with Intel Core processors and dual 10GbE, priced from €1,229.99.

UGREEN has launched two new network-attached storage systems, the NASync DXP6800 Ultra and the NASync DXP8800 Ultra. They sit above the DXP2800 GT and target users who handle large volumes of data and want it available at all times. The DXP6800 Ultra costs €1,229.99, while the DXP8800 Ultra costs €1,529.99.
DXP6800 Ultra: six bays and 10GbE
The smaller of the two is built around an Intel Core 5 120U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It has six drive bays and supports up to 208 TB of storage. Two 10GbE ports offer a combined bandwidth of up to 20 Gb/s, and the company quotes transfer speeds of up to 2,500 MB/s. Memory is 8 GB of DDR5-4800, which can be expanded.
The NAS also accepts drives from other manufacturers, such as Seagate and Western Digital, so buyers are not tied to UGREEN disks.
DXP8800 Ultra: eight bays and more capacity
The bigger model moves from six to eight bays, lifting maximum capacity to more than 270 TB. It also steps up to an Intel Core 7 150U, again with 10 cores and 12 threads. Otherwise it matches its sibling: two 10GbE ports, 8 GB of expandable DDR5-4800 memory and support for third-party drives.
Why it matters
A NAS like this lets users build a private cloud at home or in a small office, keeping files local instead of paying monthly fees to services such as Google, Apple or Amazon. Files, users and permissions are managed from one place, and remote access is protected by security features. It is not a product for everyone, but for heavy data users it centralizes storage.
UGREEN is also running a launch promotion. Since 28 October, a discount code gives an extra 8% off the list prices, which would bring the DXP6800 Ultra and DXP8800 Ultra below the figures above.
