Przelewy24 launches official PrestaShop integration for shops

The operator of Przelewy24 and the e-commerce platform PrestaShop have announced a strategic partnership. Its first tangible result is a direct integration of the payment gateway with the shop system.

According to the announcement, merchants running PrestaShop can now introduce modern payment methods quickly and without complex technical hurdles, which also keeps implementation costs down.

Quick installation, broad choice for shoppers

The Przelewy24 module can be installed directly from the PrestaShop Marketplace. The process only requires linking the two accounts and configuring the preferred payment methods, after which a shop can handle transactions right away.

Customers of online shops get access to the most popular solutions on the market: Blik, pay-by-link bank transfers, traditional payment cards, the Apple Pay and Google Pay digital wallets, and online instalments.

Built for independent shops

Łukasz Piechowiak, Group Director of Payment and Logistics Partnerships at PrestaShop, stressed that the platform attracts merchants who value freedom and independence. In his view, that should not mean giving up secure, proven financial tools.

The official cooperation with the payment operator is meant to give Polish online shops technology that supports their long-term growth and strengthens the market position of the whole platform.

For smaller, independent retailers the practical gain is simplicity: a module distributed through the official marketplace and a set of payment methods Polish shoppers already know. Further effects of the partnership have not been detailed so far.
